Since the foundation of GreenHill Properties in 2018, Marcel M. Wachter has successfully steered the strategy of GreenHill Properties as managing partner. Since then, Marcel Wachter has brought special entrepreneurial experience, a highly qualified team of employees and an exclusive network as well as extensive know-how in the real estate sector to GreenHill Properties and to numerous advisory and supervisory board mandates.
Marcel M. Wachter has worked for leading finance and real estate companies in New York, London, Zurich and Kuala Lumpur over the last 20 years and holds a “first class” Master’s degree in Real Estate Finance from Cambridge University in England.
In 2010, Marcel Wachter continued his professional career in real estate investment banking in the “Large Clients” division at UniCredit in Munich. During this time, he managed a portfolio of over €1.5 billion and financed and structured large retail, office and residential portfolios, as well as single assets for well-known companies in Germany and Europe. His clients included large international private equity investors, real estate funds and listed real estate companies.
After seven years, he moved within the bank to Wealth Management as Senior Banker for the Family Office Real Estate Germany division. In this role, he was the main contact for the largest family offices and UHNWIs in all areas of real estate, including structuring, acquisition, sales, OFF-market transactions, diversification and restructuring of real estate/portfolios.
In 2018, Marcel M. Wachter decided to bundle his experience, his know-how, his excellent network as well as also his capital in GreenHill Properties and thus make it exclusively available to other families.
